Founded in April 2004 by Daniel C. Witte, SAL de IBIZA is renowned for producing and marketing the highest-quality, gourmet sea salt sourced directly from Ibiza. Harvested in the nature reserve, "Parc Natural de ses Salines d'Eivissa," a UNESCO World Heritage Site, SAL de IBIZA sea salt is obtained solely through the natural evaporation of seawater, preserving over 80 vital minerals and trace elements essential for the human organism, such as magnesium, fluoride, and iodine.

 

 

Traditional Craftsmanship: The Ancient Art of Salt Harvesting

The salt is gently raked together and left to dry off along the basins' sides after the natural crystallization process. The resulting dice-sized crystals are ground in ancient stone mills to achieve the desired granulation. This traditional method, dating back over 2,700 years in the salt flats of Ibiza, combined with abundant sun and light winds, creates wholly natural sea salt. Fleur de Sel: The Queen of Salts

Held in high regard by the island's inhabitants, the "Fleur de Sel," hand-harvested in the Nature Reserve of "Parc Natural de ses Salines d'Eivissa," is considered the supreme "Queen of Salts." A rare and precious delicacy, "Fleur de Sel" crystals form under specific conditions of abundant sunshine, low humidity, and gentle winds.
