Bonito del Norte- white tuna is the most appreciated type of all the tuna in Spain. Every morning the fishermen go to the Northern Sea of Spain to catch the “Bonitos”. The fishermen all arriving, entering into the harbor with the sun setting behind them and the days treasures in full glory.
The Bonito Tuna in Olive Oil is of excellent quality. It is fried in olive oil and then cooked for an hour. It does not lose it’s flavor and does not become dry. Its exquisite flavor, particular light pink color, and the low fat content in its tender meat makes it a true connoisseur's delight.
In addition Bonito contains more omega 3 fatty acids than other seafood, which makes it to a heallthy food for a healthy nutrition.
This product has a non metallic and a non-fishy taste compared to regular tuna. It is said to have the lightest flesh, not to mention, the mildest tuna flavor around.
Enjoy the tuna in salads, sandwiches, or as a stuffing for piquillo peppers.
