An unusual mild and creamy goat cheese with a rind coated in gofio, a traditional type of corn flour from the Canary Islands. Balanced and versatile.

Based on the island of Fuerteventura, Grupo Ganaderos de Fuerteventura is a family-run dairy that aims to protect the strong cheesemaking tradition of the region. They work primarily with Majorero goat’s milk from island farmers. Cabra al Gofio is made with this milk, which is naturally high in fat and protein, giving the cheese a creamy, elastic texture. The rind is coated in gofio, a type of roasted corn flour from the Canary Islands commonly used in traditional cooking.
Pleasantly milky and mild with subtle hints of roasted cornmeal and a unique sweetness in the finish.
Serve with jamón serrano and a glass of Malvasia from the Canary Islands.
Past. Canary Island Goat’s Milk, Rennet, Cheese Cultures, Salt. Rind Coating: Toasted Corn Flour.
