Black Empeltre Olives are picked at a mature stage and cured for 12-14 months. This variety of olives has different names depending on the region in which it is grown. The Romanico Black Empeltre Olives are harvested in the border region between Catalunya and Aragon. Empeltre olive trees are some of the oldest trees in Spain. These trees are very vigorous with dark green leaves. The fruits mature in early November. Black Empeltre Olives have a high nutritional value in unsaturated fats and they have a good amount of fiber. They are soft in texture and have a very sweet taste that makes them irresistible.
The gentle taste of almonds and a very sweet note makes them irresistible.
Empeltre olives are perfect to make an olive spread.
